Strengthening Global Partnerships – Study in Egypt with University of Hertfordshire
Galaxy UniPrep Centre was delighted to welcome Mr. Sarmad Javed from the University of Hertfordshire (UH), hosted by Global Academic Foundation (GAF) – Egypt, to our Abuja headquarters. The visit marked an important step toward expanding educational collaboration between Galaxy UniPrep and UH-GAF Egypt, with a shared goal of creating more accessible international study routes for African students.
During his visit, Mr. Javed met with Galaxy UniPrep Director, Mr. Murat Akyildiz, and key members of our international partnerships team. The discussion centered around developing stronger pathways for Nigerian and West African students who aspire to earn globally recognized UK degrees through the University of Hertfordshire Egypt Campus, located in the New Administrative Capital of Cairo.
The University of Hertfordshire Egypt (UH-GAF) is the first fully licensed branch of a British university in Egypt, operated under the Global Academic Foundation. It offers identical academic standards and degree qualifications as the UK campus — meaning students who study in Egypt receive the same UK-accredited degree, at a fraction of the cost, and with closer proximity to home. This unique opportunity combines British academic excellence with the cultural and geographical accessibility of Africa.
Following the productive Abuja meetings, Mr. Javed traveled to Lagos, where he visited Bright Sun College — one of Galaxy UniPrep’s trusted partner institutions. He interacted directly with students, explored their study ambitions, and observed ongoing study abroad initiatives coordinated by Galaxy UniPrep. His Lagos stop highlighted the growing interest among Nigerian students in “Study in Egypt” pathways, which blend affordability, international quality, and regional comfort.
